The other day somebody asked me what does the P.S. stand for? Was it post script tom?
I replied: Well yes a sort of: …“By the way”…. “Incidentally”…. “Oh and….... Do you get our way of thinking?
Did you look at the name and wonder too? We have another reason for using “ P.S.” too. It stands for Prime Source, our inner being, our core, our centre and authentic self. So for us, the name we think represents us the best is because of what we offer our clients is P(rime) S(ource) Life Can Be Easy. www.PSLifeCanBeEasy.com
Let me explain a bit more:
All of us have an inner core, our inner being, our true authenticity. But nature gave us a head (surprisingly!) and with a head comes an ego.
To explain- our ego is our conscious mind, based on perception of our environment. It is our image and perception of ourselves fuelled by head chatter, analysis and self-opinion going on.
And all this is fuelled by our thoughts and feelings on a daily basis.
Now when we have positive constructive thoughts they ‘program’ our minds (or ego). Equally so, if in the moment, we have negative and destructive thoughts, they program our minds and ego in the opposite way and that’s when we feel troubled, less confident and things don’t work out for us the way we hoped.
Let’s concentrate on ego (the mind) for now. I mentioned earlier, that we all have a prime source (our inner core) or what I call our ‘Power house’. This is where a sense of knowing and good feeling all comes from. Our heads, minds and ego are all our perceived opinions in life collected, put there and manufactured by ourselves. They do NOT represent the real you in our true authentic self sense. Ok, if this all seems a bit tricky to follow, bear with me. It took me some time to understand it too (whoops my mind!).
You see I was a very heavy analytical guy: a logical thinker, strategic planner and natural problem solver. That does however challenge me to act from my inner self, my intuition (Prime Source) and be able to bypass my mind but I am so much better now than I used to be.
Take writing this article e.g. I started at 6AM this morning, picked up my pen and began writing. If I had stopped to think (mind work) I would probably have got stuck wondering what you would like to read and find interesting. Instead I stepped into my Prime Source – connected to my intuition and words were pouring out faster than my pen could write! I am working from my inner core- my real power house- deliberately not ‘thinking’ about it. This is by passing my ego. I trust this is good reading for you!
So back to my ‘logical thinker’ admission earlier: Does all this tapping into my Prime Source mean that I let go of all my strategic thinking. No, of course not. I am running a company after all. I need those skills but it does mean I now know when they serve me and when they don’t. Or to put it another way when working from my Prime Source serves me even better.
The benefits to me and my performance are:
- Less Stress
- Get the job done in half the time
- Takes less body energy to perform the task
- A greater sense of fulfilment, achievement and knowing I can do things ‘with ease’
And the benefits to others:
- I have more time available for them if I wish
- I look younger and more relaxed in everything I do (according to others!)
- I get by on 2/3 of sleep which allows me to do more of the things I love in the day.
- I attract the right kind of people to work and socialise with me. And the rest of the time I am totally content in my own space.
My life is easy. And so if this is good news for me - there is even better news for you.
There is absolutely nothing to hinder you from operating from your Prime Source / Power House too, so that PS, your ‘Life Can Be Easy’ too!
This is what Sanjay Shah and I and P.S. Life Can Be Easy is all about. Showing other people proven and tested techniques so that they can create the life they want in their lives.
And we all know that our Prime Source creates happiness, peace and contentment while it’s our ego that gets in the way.
We only have to realise this and learn to access our Prime Source so that our ‘Life Can Be Easy’.
I look forward to speaking/ sharing with you again next week. Till then - go easy!
