Well surprisingly these are some of the most common negativities commonly experienced in everyday modern living:
- Poor Diet
- Too much body fat
- Anxious mind
- Lack of Self Confidence
- Low Energy Levels
- Self doubt
- Arrogance
Poor Diet:
We are what we eat – it’s an old cliché but it is an accurate one. Our health, energy levels and general sense of wellness are as good as the quality of food that we ask our bodies to digest. Garbage in garbage out! Take stock of your diet today to see how easily you can increase the quality of what you eat. Naughty can be nice but not if it exceeds moderation.
Too much body fat:
I read an article the other day on the 3 types of body shape!
1. Endomorph - Stocky with higher levels of body fat.
2. Mesomorph - The athletic build with a fast metabolism.
3. Ectomorph – Thin appearance and low levels of fat.
Now you are probably already aware that the building of muscle helps absorb body fat. However some of us build muscle more easily than others. Knowing your body type and understanding how easily (or not) it builds muscle will do much to help you maintain the right level of body fat for you. This will help you read the optimum balance between muscle and fat to keep your energy levels high.
Anxious Mind:
A busy mind can be an anxious mind. The problem with busy minds is that for so long we can believe this is a good, helpful and positive thing to have in our selves. What we may not realize is, that the busier our mind becomes the more it slows down and closes down our intuition – that’s our natural creative source. At best it can become overactive and over analytical. At worst it can be self questioning to the point of negativity, usually fear based.
By learning how to quieten our mind, we can avoid draining ourselves of overactive mental activity, tap into the intuition and sharpen up the creativity. It brings with it a greater sense of achievement.
Lack of Self Confidence in Certain Situations:
There are two main emotions in life, Love and Fear. Let’s take a look at fear here; all of us, to varying degrees, carry levels of fear at a conscious and subconscious level. The challenge for some of us is that we don’t always realize how much this holds us back from achieving all the things we want to achieve. Some of us plan to deal with certain fears (usually only when the pain becomes too much), while others choose to believe that we have no option but to hold onto them.
Identify your fears and deal with them, they are anchors and chains which prevent you from feeling good within yourself. You will know such a difference when you do.
Low Energy Levels – Lack of Physical Fitness:
This is the fuel in the tank, the reserves of stamina. Now I don’t need to remind you of what is dictating your energy levels. You already know about diet, exercise, sleep, moderate alcohol intake etc. but I would like to ask you to take stock on how your levels are right now. Are you getting enough quiet time for you, are you free from sexual frustration, is your quality of sleep as good as it needs to be?
Do you waken in the morning ready to leap out of bed? Or do you take ages to come too? Identify your energy drainers and drop them today. You will feel so much better when you do.
Self Doubt:
How comfortable are you in your own skin? How do you react in any given, difficult situation? Do you face your fears and do it anyway? Or avoid the discomfort of going through your own pain barrier? Some of us are challenged by fear of heights, spiders, speed or standing in front of an audience. Sometimes we live with limiting beliefs of “I am not good enough”, “I do not deserve….” , “I could not achieve that because…”
Make sure that the self doubt that you are carrying isn’t holding you back, even unwittingly. Some of life’s highest achievers make a point of overcoming “a fear a year”. That way they are keeping their confidence to the fore at all times.
Avoiding Arrogance:
Feeling superior to others, sounding like a ‘know it all’, always seeking the limelight can all be barriers to feeling good. That is because the need to be seen and heard above others’ comes from insecurity within. Ok, we have all done it, (me too!). But this inevitably hacks others off, pushes them away, causes resistance and causes resentment from others towards us. If we share our wisdom, shine our light with kindness and humility, we receive in return approval and positive energy, tenfold. I am not suggesting that we should actively seek their approval, but humility attracts approval, the very thing arrogance is seeking. The difference is that arrogance needs it, humility doesn’t. Arrogance pushes away the very approval it is seeking. Humility attracts the very approval it does not need. Know the difference. One will prevent your happiness, the other will increase it.
