Did you know that when it comes to achieving goals the most common obstacle to all of us are our mental blocks? It’s those hidden gremlins lurking in our existence, from way back, which sow the seeds of doubt in our minds. Any negative thoughts, feelings or ‘I cant’s,’ all stem from a negative, traumatic or fear induced experience from the past. All of us have them to varying degrees.
Don’t get me wrong, I am not suggesting goals cannot be achieved but the ease with which it happens largely depends upon how much negativity we are carrying within us. Let me explain. Much of this negativity can lurk in our sub-conscious, so we don’t even know it is there. This is the perfect breeding ground for traits in our personality like, procrastination, resistance, laziness, can’t be bothered etc. etc. Other traits may be feeling hurt, angry, aggrieved at someone else etc.
So to summarise – if we want to be able to take control of our lives, shape our destiny and avoid setbacks and disappointments – the best we can do to achieve this is to set goals, manage our time efficiently and address any negativity we are holding onto.
How do we do this?
Well by studying personal development, facing our fears and always, always striving for a higher energy within ourselves.
This is what allows us to achieve our goals, have what we want and feel happy and satisfied within. It is as simple as that.
I reckon this is what must have inspired Napoleon Hill to write,
“There are no limitations to the mind except those we acknowledge.”
I like this quote because it speaks to me on two levels. The first line has a message in itself, “There are no limitations to the mind.” Well that’s a good enough thought for me at the beginning of any day!
But it’s the second half of the quote that deepens the value of the message considerably, “Except those we acknowledge.”
Now I don’t know about you but there are two messages in this second half for me.
- It suggests that unless we acknowledge our limitations and embrace them as an opportunity, they will hold us back from achieving. (Remember we all have them.)
- This also suggests that it is a foregone conclusion, we will have limitations whether we are aware of them in the moment or not. This allows us to ‘stay open’ to what they are and be equipped to deal with them as they appear.
‘Equipped’ is such a powerful word. When we feel equipped, everything is possible or should I say, inevitable.
When we become equipped to dissolve our blocks (fears) as they come up, – Life Becomes Easy. Manifesting results becomes easy. Having the things we want becomes easy.
Have a good week.
