Fitness and Fitting It In

Fit or Fitting? The health and fitness industry is huge. A reminder to be, feeling and look healthy regardless of age, sex or colour.

Yeah right. If only! Oh, and if that does not motivate us, we will be reminded that we will look younger as a result and if we don’t, everyone else will, so we will get left behind.

Nature intended males to grow potbellies with age (for whatever reason) and females, cellulite and fleshy bits. And if you cannot manage to reduce them you can always get your chequebook out and have them tanned, siphoned or chopped off. Yes?

So what’s our problem?

Well I don’t know about you but I would prefer to hang on to all my bits, warts and all but not necessarily the way they are developing!

I think most of us, men and women, would like to look and feel as fit, toned and flexible as possible. The challenge is finding the time to ‘fit’ it all in. So that’s what we are going to explore in this article. Fitness and Fitting

We know we would like to be and feel energetically FIT. The problem is in FITTING in the time (and enough desire) to make it happen. Did I mention desire? Hmm I wonder where that one came from.

Is fitting in the time to get ‘fit’ our biggest obstacle here, or do we have more desire for the naughty eats? Maybe we can’t stand exercise, did not enjoy sports at school or genuinely intend to start ‘next week’ after we have ……etc etc

Ok let’s be honest here folks. Some of us are naturally sporty so there is an incentive to play and keep fit. Some of us naturally burn up excess body fat, (often hereditary) so we don’t have too much of a worry.

BUT: for the rest of us, the majority, we are juggling work, running a business, looking after the client or customer, spending time with partners and our family. There are simply not enough hours in the week, to fit our fitness discipline in.

Or is there?

Take my own situation. I have a personal trainer once a week. I have my routine that others call ‘work’ (I love my work).  I also enjoy my fitness. There is always more to be done than hours in the day so it is a challenge for me to replace work I enjoy with fitness, I feel I ought to be doing. So to be honest I don’t always get the second and third session “fitted” in.

Does this resonate with you? Or maybe the work you do is determined by duty deadlines, bills to pay rather than love for it.

Either way it is finding the time to fit it in that is our biggest challenge here.

So what is the answer? Start a new life (not always practical!) or give up on getting fit?

You know what folks? Everything is possible in life if we believe there is always another way to approach every situation. That is why Sanjay and I call our company P.S. Life Can Be Easy.

It means, by the way- there is always an easier approach to our situation in life- in this case looking after our bodies, health and physical flexibility.

Honestly, when we chose the title of the company, we asked ourselves- P.S. Life Can BE Easy would people buy this? Believe it? Get the message?

Well as we have discovered for ourselves this helped others too realise EVERYTHING is possible if we become clear about what we want to achieve. Sometimes it is about getting clear how much we want out new found state- many call it a goal. But a goal is only good AFTER we know what we want.

I am talking about the stage before that – becoming clear about what we want, in this case, how much we really want to be fit.

By fit I mean whatever fitness means to you. Losing weight? Happily changing eating habits? Feeling less stiff and more flexible first thing in the morning? Even healing the sore bits in our bodies.

Do you believe this is possible? Achievable? Even desirable?

  1. All you need to do is decide what it is that you really want.
  2. Completely rethink your way of thinking about the situation and how you approach fitting in your fitness.
  3. Feel energised and revitalised by the difference- younger and more capable too.

Ok, so this is down to time management I hear you your say? Well, no it’s not actually but rather than try to explain why in this Blog take our word for it now.

All you need to do is focus on your intended outcome. What you think your definition of fitness is? - feeling good physically, mentally and emotionally.

Leave the HOW to Sanjay and me.

Remember everything is possible within the world of personal development.

Everything is possible within you

Fit and Fitting

Fitting it all in is easy. The belief needs to fit with you.
